Queen Announced As LEGO Rock Band Characters

Another day, another LEGO Rock Band announcement. But we’re not complaining – any news that gives us a reason to talk about iconic rock group Queen is fine in our books.

Joining  the ranks of Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Blur, Warner and MTV Games announced today that Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Queen will appear as Minifigs in the upcoming LEGO Rock Band. The news piggybacks on the release of the Rock Band “Queen Pack,” which makes playable ten classic Queen hits.

So how is the Minifig treatment treating Queen? We think well. Check out front man Freddie Mercury and his epic ‘stache. Guitarist Brian May’s perfectly styled tresses look pretty authentic, too. Rounded out with drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Deacon, we put our stamp of approval on Queen’s Minifig interpretation.

Guitarist Brian May had much to say about their journey into the world of LEGOs:  “This is IT!  I wanna play!  When do I get my toy LEGO man?”
