Queen 10-Pack Coming To Rock Band
Next week Queen will be coming to Rock Band in a big way. Harmonix and MTV games announced today that a Queen 10-pack will be making its way to the Rock Band Music Store for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
To this day 15 albums have been released by Queen bandmates Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury. An “Absolute Greats” album is slated to hit retail November 17, making the “Queen Pack,” a perfect way to get amped up for the pending release. The full track list is below, all of which are original master recordings.
- “Another One Bites the Dust”
- “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”
- “Fat Bottomed Girls”
- “I Want It All”
- “I Want to Break Free”
- “Killer Queen”
- “One Vision”
- “Somebody to Love”
- “Tie Your Mother Down”
- “Under Pressure”
Sadly, Bohemian Rhapsody is still a no-show and one of my personal favorites, Bicycle Race, didn't make the cut. But the list leaves little to complain about.
The Xbox 360 and Wii packs will be available on October 20, with the PS3 pack debuting October 22. As expected, the tracks will only be sold individually on the Wii, but 360 and PS3 owners will have the choice of cherry-picking their favorites or purchasing the whole pack. The price breakdown is as follows:
X360: 160 Microsoft Points per track or 1289 Points for the “Queen Pack”
PS3: $1.99 per track or $15.99 for the “Queen Pack”
Wii: 200 Wii Points per track
Queen isn’t foreign to music games. They’ve had songs appear in several Guitar Hero titles, as well as two upcoming songs in LEGO Rock Band. Then there is SingStar Queen, an entire iteration of the popular karaoke franchise dedicated to their work.
If you picked up Rock Band Unplugged, more music is coming your way, too. Tracks from Blink-182 and The Offspring are also slated for download next week. Blink-182 will be contributing “The Rock Show” and The Offspring “All I Want.” These new tracks will supplement the 49 already available in the Rock Band Unplugged music store. They are available to purchase starting October 22 for $1.99 each.
