This week sees the number of blogs drop. I can only assume everyone is now in love with Monster Hunter: World and too busy hunting elder dragons to write!

Monster Hunter World Tips and Tricks
Jenniferttookewi is here to offer some Monster Hunter tips. Unfortunately, her first tip is essential. Simply beating the game will help open up a lot of monsters and quests, but the fact that the "story" and what I consider the main game of Monster Hunter are so tied together is annoying. Basically, ask questions if you're unsure about something, take in the game world, and don't always jump into battle after battle. I have the luxury of knowing the game series inside and out, so it's fun to mentor friends who have never played Monster Hunter before, but this blog is a nice reminder of things newcomers might not know

Romance and Games: Why We Like it
Writergirl2394 has a Valentine's Day-themed blog for us! It's about love in video games. I definitely think Uncharted did romance quite well, and Catherine is just a hilarious take on it considering otherworldly beings are involved. There is no better romance than one between a Monster Hunter hunter and his weapon of choice, however.

A Gaming Life: Pt. 2 – Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Art of Replayability
Dominic Cichocki has played more Wolfenstein than even I have (and The New Order was my game of the year when it came out). "This is why I think the game is so replayable, as strange as it might seem. The story, and the feelings it evokes, is unlike any other game I've played. It's not just a game about fighting Nazis – it is also a fight for social justice." I can agree with that!  

Owlboy and the Joy of Indie Gaming
MightyMagikarp is here to write about a game I really, really want to play. I mean, look at how detailed that pixel art is! Absolutely wild. What really has me intrigued is how 'Karp insists that the story is very mature. It sounds like it might pull at my heart strings a bit much. I'm a little hesitant after reading about "the vagueness of the ending," but it is still on my to-play list after reading this blog.

Shadow of the Colossus Was a Game Ahead of Its Time, Yet Perfect for That Period in Gaming
Refle is not afraid of placing Shadow of the Colossus into the masterpiece conversation. It's hard to argue with that when you see everyone on Twitter raving about the new remake/rerelease. Heck, even the soundtrack is considered "God Tier," which I didn't know was a tier we rated games on but I'm all for it. Basically, Refle goes through why this game is a masterpiece, but an even more perfect one because of its blemishes.

I am Heavy Weapons Guy and This is My Problem
It's been years since I've played Team Fortress 2, but StarterPack is making me regret that decision. Just reading about the game reminds me of the fond moments I've had with it when I booted it up on PC after giving it a go on console. This blog about playing as a Heavy is a fun read, even if you might not understand all of it.
