Cuphead Sells Three Million Copies
Studio MDHR, the developers behind the highly acclaimed Cuphead, have announced that the indie 2D platformer has sold three million copies since its release last year.
It's been a fairly long journey for Cuphead, which had been shown at multiple Microsoft E3 press conferences. The game was lauded for its fantastic art style, but faced skepticism for its boss rush structure, leading to some time spent on additional content. The game was well liked when it first released, reaching the one million milestone within weeks and then two million not long after.
At E3, a new DLC expansion was announced for the game with a third playable character and new bosses scheduled for release in 2019. You can find the trailer for the DLC below.
Cuphead is available for the Xbox One and PC.
