Next Halo Still A Lock For 2014
Halo fans, the sky is not falling. Xbox corporate VP of marketing, strategy, and business wrote a blog post this morning thanking Xbox One fans for scooping up 3 million of the consoles worldwide. His post concluded with a list of games due out on the platform in 2014. The next Halo was absent, but not for any nefarious reasons.
Rob Semsey, PR manager for the Halo and Forza franchises, stepped in to squash any panic on Twitter:
Xbox Wire today mentioned a few 2014 titles; Halo on Xbox One not listed due to official name of the next title not announced yet.

In case you're curious, here's the list of games in Mehdi's post that Semsey referred to:
"We’re excited for the year ahead and will be working hard to bring Xbox One to more fans and more markets around the globe. 2014 will be a promising year with many more great games on the way for Xbox One including 'Titanfall,'Watch_Dogs,''Project Spark,' 'Sunset Overdrive,' 'Tom Clancy’s The Division,' 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,' 'Destiny,' 'Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare,' and 'The Elder Scrolls Online,' among others. More games, more features, more content, more fun – all coming your way this year."
Our Take
It's understandable how some people could interpret Halo's apparent absence from the list as something sinister. Fortunately, Microsoft was on top of things and has hopefully set fans' minds at ease for the time being.
