Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition Coming Soon To iOS

Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition has already made its way to PC and Mac, but a tweet from the game's creative director says iOS players should be able to get in on the dungeon-crawling action soon.

Here's what Trent Oster, the game's creative director, had to say about the portable version's progress:

Just checked the iTunes account and it appears the in-app purchases have been approved, so BGII:EE should hit soon.

There's no word on what "soon" might translate to, but it's encouraging to know that things are moving along.

Our Take
The enhanced editions of the Baldur's Gate games have had a rough time getting to market, with the first game getting temporarily pulled from the app store and development on the sequel put on hold because of contractual issues. Baldur's Gate remains a genre-defining game, and the more people who are able to experience it for themselves, the better.
