Don't Have A Wii? Want One For $130?
Nintendo's new console is due out next month, which means the writing is pretty much chiseled on the wall for the Wii. If you haven't already picked one up, perhaps this price cut could entice you. The new bundle includes the console, a controller with built-in Wii MotionPlus, and Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. And it can all be yours for the low, low price of $130.
The move follows news from a few days ago that the Xbox 360 is getting a $50 price cut, though Microsoft still hasn't announced anything regarding that console's successor.
It's easy to forget sometimes that not everyone is as equally rabid about video games, and this new package is definitely a great deal for people on the "I just want to bowl in my living room" side of things. It's also going to be a great lesson on the importance of carefully enunciating your holiday wish list. Make sure you're clear about that "U" part. As it turns out, a lot of people out there aren't completely immersed in Nintendo's marketing quite yet, which could end in disaster/disappointment.
The Wii U is coming in two configurations, priced at $299 or $349. The pricier version adds a few controller stands, NintendoLand, and a black exterior.
