Professor Layton, Ace Attorney Meeting Up In Crossover Game
This is just crazy enough to work. Level-5 and Capcom have announced that two of their signature franchises will be meeting up in an all-new 3DS crossover. Tentatively titled Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, the game will merge the two popular games in still unknown ways.
Kotaku Japan has posted a few screens of the game that show the characters working side by side, and we can't wait to see how their styles match up. Luke and the Professor are more methodical at their work, while Phoenix Wright is a bit more...harried in his approach. Both sides are good at what they do, however, and it's going to be interesting to learn how they work together.
Will the Professor talk down to Phoenix? Will Mr. Wright's reliance on psychic sidekicks throw the Professor's skepticism into overdrive?
We'll have to wait and see. One thing's for sure: It's being worked on by Ace Attorney creator Tamuki Shuu, so it's in good hands.
