Dragon Age 2 'Destiny' Trailer Is Big On Cinematic Combat
BioWare and EA have released a new trailer for the upcoming Dragon Age 2, which shows the Champion of Kirkwall in action. It doesn't feature any gameplay, but the cinematic battle at least provides some indication why this Champion is such a big deal.
In addition to highlighting the hero's combat prowess, it's a great showcase for why the qunari are so respected and feared on the battlefield. The ending does make us wonder something, however. If the champ can channel such incredible magical energy, why not kick the battle off with a few of those energy blasts? Sure, the spear twirling is a nifty parlor trick, but if you're able to summon tiny little portals that can rip arms right out of their sockets, why not use that for an opener? Oh well.
