Activision Unveils Black Ops' Hardened, Prestige Editions

by Jeff Cork on Aug 12, 2010 at 05:30 AM

It looks as though Activision has come up with a theme for its limited-edition Call of Duty bundles. For Modern Warfare 2, players could plunk down the cash and get a pair of functional night-vision goggles, perfect for scaring children. With Black Ops' bonus, it looks like pets are the next potential victims. you've watched the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer, you may have spied a little (and deadly) toy car. Activision has announced this morning that players who pick up the Prestige Edition of the game can score a working replica, presumably without the explosive capabilities. It also includes everything that comes bundled with the Hardened Edition--a Black Ops medal, an exclusive Avatar outfit, and four playable co-op maps.

The Prestige Edition should set you back around $150, and the Hardened Edition is approximately $89. Look for both editions when the game ships November 9.
