Final Chunk Of BioShock 2 DLC To Focus On Story

by Jeff Cork on Aug 05, 2010 at 04:45 AM

Hot on the heels of BioShock 2’s latest DLC, comes word that 2K Games  has one last download in mind for the game. Unlike the arena-style action from the Protector Trials, the single-player Minerva’s Den DLC offers more of a story-driven experience.

“Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture,” said 2K president Christoph Hartmann.

Players will take on the role of a new character who joins Brigid Tenenbaum in her fight to save a new Rapture district from the control of a dictator. In addition to the new environment, the DLC will include a new plasmid and an all-new Big Daddy type.

Minerva’s Den is being developed by the core BioShock 2 team, says 2K Games, and it is scheduled for a fall release on the PS3, 360, and PC.
