Forge Your Own Destiny In Halo: Reach’s Updated Map Editor

by Jeff Cork on Jul 23, 2010 at 05:07 AM

Halo: Reach is Bungie’s final Halo project, and as they put it they’re going out with a bang. One of the more explosive elements of the game is its updated Forge 2.0 editor. In a new video documentary, Bungie explains some of the new features that can be used in the expanded Forge World.

To start, users can choose to put new objects into the huge, blank world in multiple ways. Instead of dealing with the imprecise, often frustrating physics of Halo 3’s Forge, players can choose to have objects stick exactly where they’re dropped—or even let objects phase through one another to create all-new shapes.

Players can also create Rube-Goldberg like devices or even create their own modes. Imagine playing King of the Hill where the hill is a fully functioning Warthog. Check out the video below, and get those creative juices flowing.
