Pour Some Sugar On Me, Bohemian Rhapsody In Next Guitar Hero

by Jeff Cork on Jun 04, 2010 at 03:57 AM

Some of the major details on Activision’s latest Guitar Hero entry have escaped their holding pen, but there’s still plenty of interesting Guitar Hero: Warriors or Rock info. In an announcement today, Activision gave up the goods on the new Quest Mode (narrated by Kiss bassist Gene Simmons), which lets players save rock n’ roll from evil forces on an epic journey.

In Quest Mode, using any combination of instruments, players will embark on a larger-than-life, epic rock journey from the stage of CBGBs, the infamous punk-rock club in New York City, to the molten lava fields of rock treachery as eight Guitar Hero characters transform into rock warriors that must join together to use their unique, game-changing powers to help the Demi-God of Rock take down “The Beast” and save rock n’ roll. The game is also compatible with more than 500 of the series’ previously released tracks, and a Quickplay+ mode gives shredders a reason to revisit some of the old tunes. In that mode, Activision says most of those tracks utilize some of the 13 new gameplay challenges.

But what about the new songs? That’s always one of the things that gets fans talking, and this latest list is no different. Some of the highlights from the 90 on-disc songs include Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” Jane’s Addiction’s “Been Caught Stealing,” and Queen’s much-requested “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Without further ado, here’s the first batch of songs that will be contained in Warriors of Rock:
