Yakuza 3 Heading To U.S. In March

by Jeff Cork on Dec 08, 2009 at 05:12 AM

Sega has announced that it’s bringing Yakuza 3 over to Europe and the United States this March. The news was revealed on Europe’s official PlayStation Blog. The PlayStation 3 exclusive has already sold more than 500,000 copies in Japan.

Gary Knight, Sega of Europe’s marketing director, says the move was at least partially due to fan interest. “Yakuza 3 was one of the most requested titles for localisation by our European SEGA community, so we are delighted to be able to fulfil their wishes with this announcement. As well as delving even further into the rich narrative of the Yakuza universe, the development team have pushed the PlayStation 3 hardware to the limits to produce a beautiful and startlingly realistic depiction of the Japanese underworld.”

Finally, something to look forward to in Q1 2010.
