Sgt. Peppers Guaranteed To Raise A Smile Next Week

by Jeff Cork on Nov 13, 2009 at 02:09 AM

Let's just all pretend that I wrote a bunch of terrible Beatles puns right here and call it good. All right. Following up on last month's in-game release of Abbey Road, the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will be available in the Beatles: Rock Band next week. The retail release already contained five of the album's songs ("Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," "With a Little Help from My Friends," "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," "Getting Better," and "Good Morning Good Morning"), but this DLC will fill out the rest of the record.

Unlike with Abbey Road, an album with a long medley of songs, players will be able pick and choose the songs they want instead of having to buy larger bundles. Tracks “Fixing A Hole,” “She’s Leaving Home,” “Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!,” “Within You Without You,” “When I’m Sixty-Four,” “Lovely Rita,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” and “A Day In The Life” will be available individually for $1.99 on the PlayStation Network, 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points. The complete bundle will set you back $13.49 or 1,080 Microsoft Points.

Rubber Soul is scheduled to come out sometime in December.
