Hideo Kojima Explains Solid Snake's New Voice For Metal Gear Solid V
The rumors are true. David Hayter will not be returning to lend Snake his voice in Metal Gear Solid V, and Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima explains why.
In an interview with GameTrailers.com, Kojima explained his reasoning. Kojima said, "What we're trying to accomplish here is to recreate the Metal Gear Series. It's a new type of Metal Gear game, and we want to have this reflected in the voice actor as well."
If his tweets are any indication, David Hayter is disappointed that he won't be back to voice Snake, as are many Metal Gear fans. There is currently a petition taking signatures to bring Hayter back, but the game is already well into production, so I can't imagine this affecting any real change, but feel free to sign.
Well look,At least I had a good run.
