Rumor: Images And Information On New Star Wars Game Leak

The website Kotaku has reported on a new Star Wars game with ties to the Battlefront series entitled Star Wars: First Assault.

Kotaku's Jason Schreier has published a story on the game, which is purported to be a downloadable online multiplayer game. According to Kotaku, the game was conceived as a "Call of Duty-style first-person shooter" and had been in development under the codename "Trigger."

Kotaku also says that the game is being conceived as a bit of a test balloon for a possible Battlefront III. If successful, it will serve as a lead-in to a new Battlefront III made on the same engine as First Assault.
