Homeworld Returns In Deserts Of Kharak

Blackbird Interactive – featuring some of the founders of Homeworld creators Relic Entertainment – have announced Homeworld: Deserts Of Kharak for PC in early 2016.
The game comes out on January 20 on PC, and is the first new Homeworld title since Gearbox acquired the license from THQ. Blackbird was working on a title called Hardware: Shipbreakers in 2013 when it officially teamed up with Gearbox, and that title was later turned into Homeworld: Shipbreakers, which now has become Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. The game is a prequel to the Homeworld franchise, featuring Rachel S'Jet as she investigates an anomaly in the desert that could save the planet.
Deserts of Kharak's strategy gameplay conforms to the topography of the world, encompassing canyons, desert seas, and craters, allowing players to formulate various strategies to take on foes. Naturally, resource management, tech research, and the composition of your armies are an important part of your success in the game's campaign. The title also features solo and competitive online play.
