It’s indisputable that New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a force of gaming power to be reckoned with. First we learned that the game absolutely trounced the sales of Super Mario Galaxy. Now we’re learning that the new Wii title has sold a staggering 10 million units worldwide .

In a recent translation of a report by Nikkei, over 4.5 million units have been purchased in the U.S., around 3 million in Europe, and over three million in Japan. All this in only eight weeks on the shelves? Impressive.

How many of you have purchased your bright, shiny, and red copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii? How long do you think these sales can stay up?
