Postponed Dragon Age DLC Arrives With Little Fanfare

When BioWare announced on the day that Dragon Age’s Return to Ostagar DLC was supposed to be released that it was instead being delayed and a new $40 retail expansion was in the works, we didn’t know what to think. Were the previous DLC packs not selling well? Was Return to Ostagar being canned entirely in favor of a different approach to extended content? Today brought the answer, though not from BioWare – the delayed project simply appeared on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points.

The DLC introduces a survivor of the battle of Ostagar, and introduces an opportunity for revenge against the darkspawn, who did some bad things we’ll avoid mentioning here for those who haven’t played it yet. It is currently only available for Xbox 360, was originally announced for the PC and PS3 as well, and seeing as how it’s addition to the Marketplace came as a complete surprise, we’re guessing the other versions could pop up anytime.
