  • I just read your preview of the new 360 update and I have no qualms about your twitter/facebook/last.fm preview but your left out quite a bit of information about the new Zune marketplace. I take it 1 of 3 things happened; you aren't very familiar with the old video marketplace, you didn't fully research the new one, or you just were lazy (or you are biased...jk on that one). I'm requesting you modify the story to report the accurate information below. Ok here goes. Old marketplace: 720p max resolution. Zune marketplace: 1080p max resolution. Old marketplace: rent for movies is only option. Zune marketplace: purchase for movies now an option. Old marketplace: 720p movies take 3-5 minutes to buffer even with internet speeds of 20mbs down/9mbs up (mine). Zune marketplace: 1080p instant-on with only 4mbs down required. Old marketplace: Hard download to HDD only option. Zune marketplace: Both hard download to HDD and network stream available as options (obviously that's important for memory-strapped 360 owners). Those are four distinct differences that clearly warrant recognition in a news story. It is lazy and irresponsible reporting. I imagine you managed to preview 1080p instant-on and the other features I mentioned, if not check planetxbox360.com for a video more accurately detailing the new features. Please consider my request to add an addendum to your preview piece. Thanks, Nick
  • Hello Mr. Cork, my name is Manny. I am new here to this website, but have been very active in posting blogs and keeping gamers informed on recent new in the industry. I have a question for you. Seeing as how you're at top of the ladder now, working for Game Informer and all, I was wondering if you could share some tips with someone like me who's dreams are to one day have the same job you do and be able to combine my two most favorite hobbies, video games and literature, into one and make a living from it. Perhaps you could share some insight on some things you did to get where you are now? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading. If you have some time, you should check out some of my blogs. Criticism on anything from my writing style to anything else is greatly appreciated, as I see it would only help me in the future. Thanks again. And good job with the new site!
