A Short(Gaming)Biography

BatmanPrime was born on August 11, 1994, in a hospital in Beverly Hills. Despite being born in such a classy area, BatmanPrime is relatively, for lack of a better term, semi-dirt-poor. He grew up in the N64/PSX Era, having played his first game (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) in that Era. After words, his mind was opened to a world filled with fantastic imagery and complex stories. Though he didn't know it at the time, his mind would soon be thoroughly blown, again and again. While going through school, BatmanPrime played games in his spare time at home (while ignoring petty things such as schoolwork and hygiene), and increasing his video game trivia by reading gaming magazines (like GamePro and GameInformer). At the age of 8, he received his first experience with mature games: Conker's Bad Fur Day. This was one of the first games to successfully show him the skill and prowess of the gaming industry (first with Goldeneye 007), and introduced him to the simple fun of shooting off your brother's head in multiplayer, and taunting him after said shooting.

Soon BatmanPrime would move onto the next-generation of consoles, and with it, his biggest Gaming Enlightenment. He soon played Halo, God of War, and Timesplitters, which solidified his place in the gaming world. Though the biggest change in BatmanPrime's gaming life had to be when he played what would then be his favorite game of all time: Bioshock. The moral themes, incredible gameplay, breathtaking visuals, and excellent story forced him to look at gaming in a different way. It was then that he began researching games, semi-consciously forming reviews in his head as he played new games, and learning more about the developers behind the polygons. By no means is he a technical genius, but at the end of the day, he is a gamer to the core, and will remain so until someone pries the controller from his dead, cold, and dusty, hands.
