Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate
Today Koei Tecmo America released new screenshots and an in-game video, along with new information on their upcoming hack-n’-slash action game Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate’s online and offline network modes. The modes include the all-new Gauntlet mode, the Duel mode, and the return of local and online co-op and competitive multiplayer.
In Gauntlet mode, players will create a party of up to five characters and complete missions together on a dynamic, changing battlefield. Players will be able to either upload their own party or download another player’s for use in Gauntlet mode. This mode will feature 2 player co-op or solo gameplay.
As the video above shows, Duel mode will be available in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate for the first time on PlayStation and Xbox. In the competitive mode, players select their warriors of choice for 3 vs. 3 battle against opponents, and can unlock equippable Strategy cards, which boost abilities, heal allied characters, or disadvantage the opposing team. Duel mode features local and online multiplayer, as well as the option to compete against AI opponents.
Along with these new online-enabled features, 2 player co-op will be returning in both the Story and Free modes. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate is releasing on September 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox 360. Orochi 3 will feature a large roster of new, returning, and guest characters, which you can read about here.
