The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes
Three-person puzzle solving and zany fashionista humor are on full display in a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. Nintendo released an in-depth look at the upcoming 3DS adventure today, showcasing its teamwork-oriented gameplay and outfit-switching system.
A cooperative take on A Link Between World’s top-down Zelda formula, Tri Force Warriors allows three players to join on a quest to save the fashion-obsessed land of Hytopia. In the trailer, the three heroes jump on each other’s shoulders to activate orbs with arrow shots and reach tall platforms, among other traditional Zelda tasks. The trailer also shows several of the many outfits Link can don to gain special powers in the game, such as a Goron suit that allows him to swim through lava. Players can also laugh with the legendary hero by making him prance around in Tingle’s goofy tights.
In less than a month, Zelda fans will find out if Tri Force Heroes’ three-person gameplay lives up to legendary expectations when it comes out Oct. 23.
