Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

As a reminder, today begins the second Pokémon giveaway at GameStop locations (Disclaimer: GameStop is Game Informer’s parent company). You’ll be able to redeem the code in Pokémon X or Y, and then transfer the critter into Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Diancie is getting a Mega Evolution in the new versions. You won’t be able to juice it up in X and Y, but if you transfer it over, you can evolve it to Mega Diancie in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

If you go today (and didn’t remember to nab your shiny Gengar code), maybe you’ll also be able to snag one of those. Just ask very nicely and hope they have some left. Your mileage may vary, though.

This offer expires on November 16. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire arrive on November 21 for 3DS.
