Outlast
Red Barrels is getting ready to unleash its terrifying first-person survival horror title Outlast on an unsuspecting world. The game scared a number of E3 attendees, even reportedly causing one person demoing the title to faint.
In a gameplay trailer that we posted late last year, you can see how the game uses light and dark, a video camera's night vision, and sound to create the freakish atmosphere of Mount Massive Asylum. We also conducted a video interview with Red Barrel's Philippe Morin, and sampled the title for ourselves at PAX East.
You'll be able to see just how scary it is come September 4, when it becomes available on PC for $19.99. To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Red Barrels has shared some new screenshots.
