Guitar Hero Live
Several editors on the Game Informer staff have poured innumerable hours into the old Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, so we were cautiously excited when news broke earlier this year that both franchises were set to return. But I’ll be the first to admit to some trepidation about the first things I heard about Guitar Hero Live, especially the use of full-motion video as a major aspect of the game’s presentation. Activision recently visited our offices to show off Guitar Hero Live, and I got a much better sense of how the game works.
After the visit, fellow music game enthusiast Brian Shea and I sat down to look over some of the footage we were able to capture during the visit, and discuss what we liked, what we’re not sure about, and laugh about what happens onstage when you screw up.
Guitar Hero Live is set for release on October 20, on a plethora of platforms including PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, iOS, and Android.
Enjoy!
