Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
In a world where April Fools' Day jokes become real, one cyborg is all that stands between humanity and cyber hell. He is Michael Biehn (playing Sgt. Rex Power Colt), and his game is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Ubisoft has finally confirmed the worst kept secret of the week.
Courtesy of the warped (and beautiful) minds of creative director Dean Evans and lead writer Lucien Soluban, Blood Dragon is set in a 1980s flavored reimagining of the year 2007. This standalone title uses familiar mechanics from December's Far Cry 3, except pirates and bandits are replaced by cyborgs. Outposts, which arguably made for the most interesting emergent narrative, are back and joined by a slightly different kind of wildlife. If you thought cassowary were nasty critters, you are in for a rude awakening.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is set to arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC on May 1, 2013.
