Just saw a commercial for it, decided to look it up. Seemed interested by the idea of a game that's bloody and gory like Devil May Cry yet feels more like a Metroid or Legend of Zelda. Came to see what the GI.com community felt about it and to my surprise when searching it there was no thread about it.
So I ask you, the gameinformer community, what do you think about the idea of an Apocalyptic game in which you play one of the four horsemen, attempting to clear your name?
i played it at comic con, its pretty fun. kinda simplistic as far as combat goes, but still enjoyable. graphics are really nice too, like a comic book brought to life.
DON'T WORRY
How simplistic is simplistic? Sort of like Batman: Arkham Asylum's two hit buttons and one counter button? Or spam a single button for slash, spam another button for shoot and there aren't really that many skills to vary up the battling?
I can't wait for Darksiders I'm going to pre-order it if I get the money
Just looked up the pre-order bonuses... Holy...

Is this coming to PC?
The beauty of my muscles will warm your heart.
@srkelley: As of now, I do not believe so. But I'd find it hard to believe that they would not bring it to the PC.
simplistic like... there arnt a ton of fancy moves like some action games (ninja gaiden for example) its just standard slashes and spins and dives pretty much. not really a bad thing though.
I've been excited for this one since I first read about it last summer. I'm definitely planning to pre-order.
While I like the artwork that Joe Madureira has done for Darksiders, I wasn't very impressed with the demo I tried at PAX. It felt like a rather generic third-person action game.

@DTJAAAAM: Would you mine elaborating further on the reasons you feel it was a rather generic third-person action game?
Cause I would love to know more things about it to help make or break my purchasing it when it comes out, whether I should wait for price drops, or whether it's be worth full price, or whether I should just skip it entirely.
The game looks awesome. Maduera is one of my fave comic artist. I saw at work that you get a graphic novel when you pre-order. Can't wait to see what's in it and play the game.

Can somebody clear this up for me? Do you fight against god in this?
There have been no sources stating that you do or do not fight God.
The overall story that is known so far is that you play as one of the four horsemen, but due to a premature apocalypse, you are blamed and stripped of all your power and sentenced to walk the Earth as punishment.
War (The character you play as) sees this as a prime opportunity to figure out who/what the real cause for all this is. You will be able to fight devils/angels I believe.
P.S: If I'm incorrect on any of this, someone please correct me
