The forums are terrible lately (Brainstorming edition):
I just don't enjoy my time coming here. How could I possibly like it going from something that was perfect in the old GIO, to this? I know this is the Beta still, but I've lost my patience with it. If it somehow gets better, let me know. My AIM name is TheBradyBunch216. If the forums ever turn into anything like the old ones, someone let me know.
Dude just chill, Yes they should ban noobs from being retarded (yes I am a noob myself)but, It isn't the end of the world. Sometimes us noobs have new and helpfull questions and things to say. Please consider this website again, I think it's awsome!
I feel you. There's so much crap wrong with the site that bugs me to no end, but I've been here for almost three years and I don't know where else I'd want to go.
I guess we'll all just have to try and tough it out, see if it gets any better.
I'm gonna tough it out. It's a shame a number of old members either left or never crossed over (R.I.P. TPD, we miss you), but I'm determined to see this thing through.
Hop onto the Site Feedback group and throw out some ideas in the Suggestion Box thread I've made there. Sean Lowery (one of the GI staff) has been very receptive and observant of the posts in that group's forum. Yeah, this isn't the old GI. This is the new GI. It's up to us to try to help shape it the way we want it.
Yeah, Sean seems to be the go to guy for suggestions. If we all get on his case for a "nearest unread message" button, among other things, maybe we'll get one quicker.
Wow I am one of the noobs, sorry that we have made you mad. It seems like you have a lot of feelings and knowledge about this site, and I think it would be great for you to stay and put your Suggestions to help make it a better site for the future.
I feel you, man. I can't stand the forums at all, but I'm toughing it out to see it (hopefully) get better. The only reason I didn't leave was because of the people I've come to know here. As dbull said, it's up to us as the older members to help this site be what it needs to be.
I was wondering how long it would take before I saw a post or a blog like this. Someone complaining about this site. The last forums that I used had maybe 1 actual game post on the front page. The rest were trolls and flamers picking individual fights with members. You actually don't know how good you have had it. Some things have to change to keep up with the rest of the industry so if you can't get used to that I guess you are done with these types of sites.
When I came to this place I was blown away! I can actually read game related posts. If I post something, someone doesn't instantly question my sexual orientation or tell me what they are going to do with my mother. I personally have no idea where you are going to find a better place than this.
Wow, did I just port to the PSN Forums. These forums are great. I admit some of the functionality is missing right now, but its a beta. This will probably be offensive to you, and it is meant to be. You are the type of user that ruins forums. Being negative and complaining about somthing never helps. Saying hey this would be nice if we did this dose. Make suggestions dont create a negative environment that encourages flaming, trolling, and spamming. And blaming new users for you not making the forums as good as you remember them is ridiculas. Instead of blaming newbies, why dont you help teach them like....oh I dont know "Blade".
I hope you can see that you are not helping, and that if you contribute you can actually resolve the issues you have with the site right now.
I agree with you. But in a few months i'm sure a lot of the issues will be sorted out.

The old forums had a tight community that respected each other and cultivated newbies well. If anything all the switch has really done is break us apart further.
I've been posting but I really don't like how filled with activity this forum is now. I've never seen a forum so active yet so empty. It's like that story from Chobits, "There are no People in this City".
It's not tat some people are missing, it just feels empty here. And yes, I hate having to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to the latest post or not being able to tell if there have been new posts posted in a thread sometimes.
