The Game Informer Show Ep. 30: Crackdown 2, WoW Controversy

by Matt Helgeson on Jul 08, 2010 at 12:01 PM

The Game Informer Show officially has our mojo back. After last week's comeback episode we are keeping the momentum going with another podcast, and this one is a doozy. First up, we are joined by Ben Reeves and Joe "Wolfman" Juba as the pair discusses the failings of one of the year's most disappointing triple-A titles, Crackdown 2. Listen in to hear them vent their frustration. The second segment centers around Square Enix's Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. Joe and host Matt Helgeson are back and joined by noted JRPG expert Phil Kollar. Finally, we wrap things up with an ultra-controversial segment pertaining to Blizzard's new "Real ID" forum policies. This has been the subject of much anger in the World of Warcraft community – an anger shared by Game Informer editor in chief Andy McNamara. Seriously, he's pretty wound up about this. Phil and Matt also pitch in as the crew discusses the possible implications this policy has for the future of your privacy as a gamer. Even if you don't play WoW, this discussion has a lot of implications for the future of online gaming.
