Hitman Go: VR Edition Now Out On Samsung Gear, Oculus Rift
Square Enix has released a new version of its Hitman Go puzzle game, which has been tuned with virtual reality in mind. Hitman Go: VR Edition is available for download on Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Rift. The game includes all of the levels that were available in previous versions of the Hitman Go, as well as the Opera, Airport, and St. Petersburg boxes updates.
According to Square, the VR Edition has been tweaked to support head-tracking movement, and the controls have been adapted. The download will set you back $7.99 on Gear and $9.99 on the Rift.
Jeff Marchiafava thought the original release was merely OK. Perhaps seeing its board-game aesthetic up close is what it needed all along.
Our Take
While Rift has had its share of problems with getting units into peoples' hands, the Gear seems to be moving along nicely. Samsung just announced that its Oculus Gear VR has been used by one million people last month.
