What If The 2016 Presidential Candidates Were Pokémon?
The political scene has been tense leading up to 2016’s election day, and it’s important to step back, look at the lineup of candidates, and ask the tough questions. Such as: what would Bernie Sanders look like if he were a Charmander?
Alex Hirsch, the creator of Disney’s recently ended animated show Gravity Falls, decided to answer these burning questions on his Twitter account. He doodled the most talked about nominees, reimagining them as Pokémon based on their personalities and name wordplay.

Hirsch’s Twitter followers quickly hopped in and started doodling their own versions of presidential-Pokémon fusions. I don’t think this Burnie Pokémon card is tournament legal, but I definitely want it in my collection.
