Volition Is Streaming Its Canceled PSP Saints Row Game Next Week

by Joe Juba on Jan 22, 2016 at 08:20 AM

Once upon a time, there was going to be a PSP game called Saints Row Undercover. The project was canned, but a roughly playable version of the game exists in Volition's office – and the studio is going to stream it.

On January 28 at 4:00 p.m. CT, you can tune in to get a get a glimpse of a Saints Row game that never released. However, keep in mind that this isn't a finished game that didn't make it to shelves; the project was scrapped in-process, giving viewers a rare chance to get a detailed look at a game before it's been tuned, polished, and made ready for mass consumption.

When the time comes, you can see the stream here. In the meantime, check out the video below for a taste of what to expect.

Our Take
Considering how little developers typically show of canceled projects, I'm looking forward to this candid look at a game that didn't make the cut. Of course, as a Saints Row fan, I'm more excited to hear details about the studio's next big project... but it looks like I have to wait on that front.
