Rainbow Six Siege Beta Is Three Days Longer Now
When we shared details of the Rainbow Six Siege beta earlier this week, it was with the news that it would only last the weekend. Good news for those that had other plans, as you’ll have some more time to give it a test drive.
Ubisoft has extended the beta through October 1. The publisher says that it is starting to send invitations to those on the wait list (those that didn’t get guaranteed access via pre-order). Those that pre-order digitally now will get access within 24 hours.
For more on the beta contents, you can check out our previous coverage. Rainbow Six Siege will be out on December 1 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can read our preview from E3 to find out what we think so far.

Our Take
Given that Rainbow Six Siege has a sharp online focus, Ubisoft would do well to use some of that extra time to open the beta up. This would allow them to push the servers hard and make sure things are ready for launch later this year.
