Mega Man Creator And The Makers Of Metroid Prime Announce Recore For Xbox One

Microsoft announced a new first-party franchise from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and developer Armature, a studio comprised of former Retro developers, the studio behind Metroid Prime.

The trailer for the game showed a young girl and a robot dog exploring a desert. In a battle with a collection of red-tinted robots, her dog sacrificed itself, but left behind a blue orb – presumably its soul. The girl then took the soul and placed it in a larger robot, which came back to life, and she said, "Welcome back." The trailer ended with the girl and a collection of glowing blue robots, presumably all under her command.

The game, titled Recore, is coming spring 2016.
