Update: The Witcher 3 Patch 1.04 Now Out On Both Consoles, 1.05 Out On PC

Update 2: CD Projekt Red is pushing the Xbox One version of patch 1.04 out today. This patch should repair the save game issues that executive editor Andrew Reiner and others have experienced on Xbox One.

Update: Despite a statement from CD Projekt Red's North American community manager that patch 1.04 isn't out yet on PlayStation 4, we have some good news. The update is rolling out right now on that console. There have been no reports from Xbox One users yet, so sit tight.

Original Story:

The Witcher 3 continues to improve, as CD Projekt Red has rolled out another patch for PC players. If you're playing on console and waiting for 1.04 patch though, sit tight. CD Projekt Red isn't done with it yet.

Included in the extensive patch is a fix for the endless parade of drowners some of you have experienced. You'll also notice better experience distribution for quests for which you're overleveled.

Merchants have received a tweak, with more weapon types and rebalanced map prices. The loot table also has a bit more variety, so you'll find a greater diversity of drops for killing the monsters (human and non-human alike) you encounter.

This patch also fixes problems with Geralt's horse, candles near chests, and high toxicity not impacting vitals. You can read the entire patch notes on CD Projekt's website and check out our review for more.

Our Take
This patch seems to address a laundry list of minor issues (and some slightly more important ones). CD Projekt Red seems to be moving quickly to address these issues, and I hope the console patches aren't far behind.
