Destiny Senior Gameplay Designer Josh Hamrick Signs On With Bethesda Game Studios
Bethesda announced today that Josh Hamrick has joined Bethesda Game Studios. Hamrick most recently worked at Bungie.
Hamrick joined the Destiny developer in 2009 and most recently worked on that title as a senior gameplay designer. The news broke Friday via Twitter as Hamrick shared he was joining the studio behind Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls series.
Bethesda! It's Bethesda! I'm going to @BethesdaStudios and I'm super stoked about it!! :-). I hope you'll continue to follow along with me!

Bethesda vice president of marketing and public relations confirmed the news today. Hines told us via email that Hamrick will be working as a senior systems designer and had this to say on Twitter:
Previous RT references what is commonly referred to as "a good get". I know the @BethesdaStudios folks are excited to get Josh on board.

Last month, Bethesda announced its first E3 press conference. The event will be held on Sunday, June 14. If you can’t be there in person, the event will be streamed on Bethesda’s Twitch channel.
Our Take
Speculation and excitement are running high for Bethesda’s E3 showing. With Hamrick joining Bethesda Game Studios (and that studio quiet since Skyrim), hopes are high for a new open world RPG. Whether that’s Fallout or The Elder Scrolls is anyone’s guess, though.
