Battleborn Reconfirmed To Arrive Before March 31, 2016

As part of Take-Two’s earnings report for the quarter ending December 31, 2014, we got re-confirmation about Battleborn’s progress. The title, which was featured on our cover in August 2014, will be coming in the next 14 months.

In the press release for the earnings, Battleborn is slated for Fiscal Year 2016. That puts its release between April 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016 (though realistically, likely no earlier than this holiday).

Our Take
With Rockstar likely out of rotation for fiscal 2016, Take-Two needs to lean more heavily on 2K Games and 2K Sports. Gearbox almost certainly won’t be ready with the next Borderlands, which puts a lot of importance on Battleborn. Making sure it launches during the upcoming year is going to be important.
