Sid Meier's Next Strategy Game Gives Us Control Of Starships This Spring

2K and Firaxis have announced the next title from famed developer Sid Meier. His next strategy title, Starships, will take us to space to build a federation of planets and civilizations.

According to GameSpot, Meier sees this as the next step following Civilization: Beyond Earth. Humanity has experienced a diaspora, losing contact with some of its far flung bretheren.

Our Take
Firaxis is one of the most consistent developers out there, and I've greatly enjoyed most of what I've played from the studio. This gives me a Star Trek vibe, and that's just fine by me.
