$1 Million Up For Grabs In 2015's Call Of Duty Championship
The popularity of eSports continues to surge as Activision and Sledgehammer release new details for this year's Call of Duty Championship.
The tournament takes place in Los Angeles on March 27-29, and will feature the top 32 Call of Duty teams in the world. A total prize purse of $1 million is at stake, with the majority of it going to the first-place team. The tournament is being presented by Xbox, and as such Xbox Live subscribers can watch the semi-finals and final match live on the service on Sunday (Activision says that other streaming sources will also be available). Here's a trailer for the event.

Our Take
The prize purse for the Call Of Duty Championship is just
the latest example of how popular eSports are nowadays. While some
may laugh at the thought of competitive video games being considered a sport,
with this much money involved, you can bet companies and broadcasters are
taking it seriously.
