Original Story:

With The Game Awards tonight and PlayStation Experience this weekend, there are going to be a number of announcements dropping like snowflakes. It seems one of them may have slipped out early.

According to a post on NeoGAF based on a now-removed trailer, Street Fighter V is slated for announcement soon. The video allegedly includes mention of exclusivity to PlayStation 4 and PC.

Whether that exclusivity is permanent (like Titanfall) or timed (like Rise of the Tomb Raider) is as yet unknown. We’ve reached out to Capcom for comment.

Our Take
If this is accurate, and the evidence is compelling, the console war starts to resemble the 8-bit and 16-bit era. Also notable as a point of curiosity is that Capcom released the console-exclusive Dead Rising 3 on Xbox One last year. We also know that series producer Yoshinori Ono is in Las Vegas for the PlayStation Experience, which lends this rumor credence.
