What Else Has Halo 2 Animation Studio Blur Worked On? Quite A Lot

by Mike Futter on Oct 31, 2014 at 06:04 AM

One of the centerpieces of Halo 2 Anniversary is the completely new set of cinematic cutscenes. You may have heard the name Blur Studio for the first time recently as we shared the cinematic launch trailer for the Master Chief Collection. You’ve definitely seen the studio’s work before then, though.

Blur has quietly worked on a number of trailers and game cinematics dating back years. They’ve contributed to the Mass Effect, BioShock, Batman: Arkham, Star Wars, and Elder Scrolls series.

You may also recall the stunning trailer from Prey 2 at E3 2011. Yup. That was Blur, too (you can see that trailer here). Unfortunately, that vision won’t ever see the light of day, with Bethesda confirming Prey 2’s cancelation last night.

If you’ve got some time this weekend, you can spend it on Blur’s website watching a collection of the studio’s past work. For now, check out the latest animation reel above.

Thanks to reader Griffin for the tip.
