The Simpsons Couch Gag Goes Minecraft, Complete With Moe Creeper

As Simpsons fans (and even many who aren’t) know, each episode features a different “couch gag.” At the end of the title sequence, the Simpson family runs into the house to sit on the couch, but each time it’s a little bit different.

Last night’s episode introduction was inspired by Minecraft. I don’t know about you, but Moe as a creeper just seems fitting.

Minecraft creator and Mojang founder Markus “notch” Persson commented on the homage on Twitter. “The Simpsons did a Minecraft couch gag,” he wrote. “I’m not sure how I feel about it. I still feel a bit like it’s just this small game I made at home. It’s so weird to have all these things happen.”
