Oculus VR To Co-Publish EVE: Valkyrie
At Gamescom 2013 and, more recently, CES 2014 we had the opportunity to get our hands on CCP Games’ virtual reality dogfighting game, EVE: Valkyrie. We came away impressed, especially since our demo was complete with the HD version of the Oculus Rift headset.
Today, Oculus VR has announced that it will be co-publishing the game with CCP. EVE: Valkyrie started with a small team, but has since grown into a full project for the publisher.
Of note, this represents a step toward consumer release for Oculus. No hint as to when that might be is present in the announcement, though.

Our Take
My time with EVE: Valkyrie at Gamescom was far too short. I suspect that Oculus realizes its power to sell people on the concept of virtual reality displays, and I anticipate we’ll be seeing EVE: Valkyrie frequently put forward as an ideal first experience.
