Blizzard Files Trademark For Heroes Of The Storm

Blizzard has filed a trademark for something called Heroes of the Storm.

The trademark's description doesn't say much, but the USPTO page says it's for the general list of computer games and downloadable software. The notable smidgen of info is that it also covers "downloadable electronic game software for use on portable electronic devices such as mobile and cellular phones, laptops, handheld computers, and tablet PCs."

Perhaps BlizzCon 2013 in November will shed more light on the subject.

Our Take:
Trademarks can be for anything – and sometimes they are filed for stuff that doesn't come to pass – but here's hoping that this is some kind of cool mobile/tablet initiative.
