Ubisoft Has Cross-Gen Games In Development

Ubisoft confirmed that some of its upcoming titles will be for both current and next generation consoles. One of the games expected to launch on both, Watch Dogs, is coming sometime next year.

"We expect in the first two years the [next-gen] costs will not increase compared to what we have today in creating the games we launch," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said during today's investor call when asked how much the publisher is putting towards next-gen development.

"We don’t know about the third year where we will take advantage of the full capacity of those consoles. We will probably have to spend more money at that time."
