Alone In The Dark Returns To The PS3?

Despite not being as popular as Resident Evil, the Alone in the Dark survival horror series always manages to stay alive. Perhaps its even preparing for a comeback on the PS3.

The ESRB ratings website has a listing for Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare for PlayStation 3. Could this mean the original 2001 PlayStation/PS2/Dreamcast title is coming to the PS3 as a downloadable title? Interestingly, the ESRB listing doesn't mention PSN, which it usually does for downloadable games, but perhaps this is just an oversight.

Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare centers around Edward Carnby's investigation of the death of his friend Charles Fiske, and also features a second playable character via Aline Cedrac. One of the gameplay mechanics was Carnby's flashlight, which repelled creatures, and no doubt influenced games like Alan Wake.
