From Dust Developer Diary Showcases Stunning Art Direction

by Matt Bertz on May 06, 2011 at 08:49 AM

Out of This World creator Eric Chahi's exotic new title From Dust features the most enchanting art direction we've seen in a while.

This pseudo god game gives gamers the ability to harness the power of nature to transform the terrain surrounding a tribal enclave that is seeking to uncover ancient forgotten knowledge. Though you don't have control of the humans directly, you can encourage or hinder the growth of their civilization by terraforming the land. Powered by a physics simulation system, the environments react realistically as you alter the flow of rivers, erupt volcanoes, build dams, and irrigate zones to cultivate plants. Erosion occurs at an accelerated rate and trees and plants grow in mere seconds, so the world will literally change right before your eyes.

From Dust is scheduled to debut this summer on XBLA, PSN (if it's fixed by then), and PC.
