Conan Returning To The World Of Games
The original barbarian warrior is headed for more adventures on your video game screen.
Paradox Entertainment and talent agency DDM announced yesterday plans to bring new Conan games to release in the coming years. Paradox is the company that owns the rights to the Robert E. Howard stories that are the original basis for the Conan mythology. It seems as if the announcement is a little premature, as no developer or publisher is even attached to the project yet.
Most recently, Conan has appeared in 2007's action title called simply Conan, and later in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, a PC MMO that released in 2008.
The timing of this new announcement may be to get ahead of the curve of potential resurgent popularity for the character. A new Conan film is set to release next year.
